Karl Marsh is a Glendale, CA based jazz saxophonist coming out of the spirited tradition of Ben Webster, Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins with a modern twist of Sonny Rollins and Archie Sheppard. The Karl Marsh Quartet can currently be seen at The Oak & Vine in Glendale California, just north of downtown Los Angeles.

With his big & warm toned tenor saxophone Karl is comfortable in many performance settings. He regularly performs in combos ranging from a piano-sax duo, delivering heartfelt ballads and standards, to a quintet that features straight-ahead, earthy and spirit-filled original compositions. 

Since 2009 Karl has held a regular gig at the Oak & Vine Wine Bar (formerly the Left Coast Wine Bar) and Gallery in Glendale CA. Prior to that he was at Maggiano's at The Grove (in Los Angeles) for three years. In addition, Karl performed at Belgocargo in France and the Karl Marsh Quintet has performed twice at the LA Farmers Market Summer Jazz Concert Series including a 2007 Joe Henderson Tribute Concert. Karl can also be heard in performing arts venues throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Karl served as the Saxophone Instructor for the Pasadena Community Youth Orchestra and clinician / lecturer at Westridge School in Pasadena.
